The LORD Provides

As I search back across the years,
Through peace and anguish, joy and tears;
O’er many a varied ground I’ve trod,
But ne’er forsaken by my God!
The LORD Provides!
In times of gloom and deep distress,
When all my hopes seemed hopelessness,
His guiding hand did lead the way.
His Word turned darkest night to day!
The LORD Provides!
So when our adversary grim
Would seek to wreck my trust in Him
By trials grave, and tempests wild,
I say, "My Father Loves His child!"
The LORD Provides!
Thus onward still I press the fight,
Though not by strength, nor force of might.
Though feeble, yet by faith I see
Christ leading home to Victory!
The LORD Provides!
